Role Summary

The Buggy & Bowling Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing buggies, cycles, scooters, heavy equipment, and bowling alley machinery. The role also involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance, record-keeping, guest support, and coordination with other departments to keep all related equipment operating safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

Buggy, Cycle, and Scooter Maintenance

  • Carry out preventive and corrective servicing for buggies, bicycles, and electric scooters.
  • Keep all vehicles aligned with manufacturer instructions and fit for safe use at all times.
  • Maintain the trailers used in buggy operations.
  • Track spare parts and consumable stock levels.
  • Identify faults and ensure repairs are completed without delay.
  • Keep vehicles clean and maintain a safe work environment.

Heavy Equipment Maintenance

  • Service, repair, and diagnose issues in Genie lifts, forklifts, Bobcats, spider lifts, Club Cars, jetty cranes, and beach trucks.

  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and operating standards.
  • Document inspections and every repair performed.

Bowling Equipment Maintenance

  • Maintain automatic pinsetters, ball returns, scoring units, foul detectors, and lane systems.
  • Perform advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, including work on limit switches and score table electronics.
  • Clean, lubricate, and fine-tune bowling equipment regularly.
  • Keep preventive maintenance logs up to date for all bowling systems.
  • Assist with control desk operations when required.
  • Guide guests on how to use bowling equipment and systems.
  • Monitor inventory and arrange supplies for bowling operations.
  • Support the training and supervision of junior team members such as pin chasers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe bowling environment.

Additional Duties

  • Take part in department events, seasonal activities, and special assignments.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or trade certification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a multi-skilled technician position.
