About the role
The National Concert Hall in Dublin is looking for a part-time Box Office and Customer Service Agent to support ticket sales and day-to-day customer contact at one of Ireland’s leading music and cultural venues. The role sits within the Box Office Management Team and contributes to the wider customer service approach across the organisation.
What you will do
- Handle sales for tickets, gift cards and other items through the Box Office as required.
- Serve as a first point of contact for visitors and respond to questions about concerts, events and activities at the National Concert Hall.
- Deliver consistently high standards of service and care to customers.
- Keep ticketing records and related database information up to date.
- Complete end-of-day payment reconciliation.
- Protect and present the professional, corporate image of the National Concert Hall.
- Take on additional Box Office tasks requested by the Box Office Management Team.
What we are looking for
- Previous interest or experience in customer service, with clear evidence of strong customer care skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work to a high standard.
- Experience using Office 365 or comparable ICT systems.
- Understanding of data protection requirements, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
- For the desirable side of the role, an interest in cultural organisations and the music sector is helpful, as is prior exposure to any ticketing system.
- Ability to communicate at a basic level in Irish would be an advantage.
Working arrangements and terms
This is a casual, part-time position paid at €17.93 per hour. Hours are variable and there is no guarantee of weekly hours being offered. Working time may fall between 09:00 and 23:00, Monday through Sunday.
