BiW Design Engineer (Unigraphics) - Bangalore Walk-in

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled BiW Design Engineer with expertise in Unigraphics NX to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing Body in White (BiW) structures, including doors, closures, and upper body parts, with a focus on manufacturability and assembly considerations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal components, modifying parts based on inputs from manufacturing, packaging, styling, and CAE teams.
• Collaborate closely with Body Engineering to ensure project delivery meets design requirements.
• Create parametric surface models for closure parts, including outer skin and inner reinforcement, following packaging demands and design standards.
• Ensure compliance with DVP&R and DFMEA through virtual analysis, coordinating with CAE teams as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent stream.
• 3 to 6 years of professional background in automotive BIW design, focusing on doors, closures, and structural components.
• Proficient in UG NX for part design, surface modeling, and assembly creation.
• Experience with GD&T application for parts and assemblies.
• Knowledge of forming, manufacturability, and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with PDM systems, specifically Teamcenter.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Experience with Daimler CAD methodology (MBRDI) is advantageous.
