Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site BI Manager position located in Bryanston, Gauteng. The role centers on leading the build, enhancement, and upkeep of business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision-making across the business. It requires close collaboration with stakeholders to shape reporting needs, convert business questions into technical requirements, and provide accurate insights in a timely manner. The position also includes ownership of BI team supervision, data quality enforcement, and ongoing improvement of analytics methods and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

The BI Manager will oversee the design and implementation of BI solutions, with direct involvement in data modeling, warehousing, dashboard development, and analytics delivery.

• Manage data modeling work so reporting structures are efficient, reliable, and suited to analytics needs.
• Oversee data warehousing activities, including ETL, data integration, and governance practices.

Requirements

• Strong analytical ability with the capacity to interpret complex information and turn it into practical business insight.
• Solid experience in data modeling and in designing data structures that support reporting and analytics.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing, including ETL pipelines, data integration, and governance principles.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and managing dashboards and reports.
• Familiarity with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline; certifications are considered a plus.
• Prior experience in a BI Manager role or a senior BI/Analytics position, ideally in a setting with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, manage priorities, and deliver work to agreed timelines.
• Knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages; exposure to cloud data environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is advantageous.
