Job Summary

The Bellman, also known as Bell Attendant, is the first point of contact for arriving and departing guests and plays an important role in shaping their experience. The position involves assisting with luggage, guiding guests to their rooms, sharing useful information about the property and nearby area, and supporting the Front Office team in line with Salayel Hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly manner on arrival and help with luggage handling and escorting them to the room.
  • Introduce room features, hotel facilities, and available services to guests.
  • Support guests at checkout by managing luggage and arranging transportation when needed.
  • Keep the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas tidy and well organized.
  • Respond quickly and politely to guest needs while coordinating with the Front Office and Concierge teams.
  • Assist with valet parking activities whenever required.
  • Make sure guest luggage is tagged, handled, and stored correctly.
  • Work according to safety, security, and hotel standard operating procedures at all times.
  • Escalate guest comments, complaints, or any unusual issues to the Front Office Supervisor.
  • Present a neat professional image and maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a hotel, serviced apartment, or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication and people-handling skills.
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi, including key landmarks and directions, is an added advantage.
  • Ability to stand, move, lift, and carry luggage as part of the role.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
