Job Overview

Baxterstorey, under the Accor brand, is seeking an enthusiastic Barista to expertly prepare high-quality coffee beverages and deliver excellent customer service in a dynamic setting. This role involves operating coffee machinery, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with the team to ensure seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft a range of coffee drinks including espresso-based specialties utilizing premium beans and appropriate methods.
• Handle and maintain coffee equipment to meet hygiene and food safety standards.
• Manage customer orders, conduct transactions, and offer informed suggestions on coffee products.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure a tidy and organized workspace and smooth service flow.
• Keep updated on industry trends and product knowledge to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior barista experience, preferably in busy café or coffee shop environments.
• Advanced expertise in coffee preparation techniques and consistent beverage quality.
• Skilled in operating espresso machines and performing latte art.
• Familiar with point of sale systems and cash handling protocols.
• Food safety certification is an advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of coffee beans, roasting, and brewing methods.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude toward customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork capability.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
