Role Overview
Join our dedicated team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 5 Psychology Support Officer. This role is pivotal in assisting the NHS psychological workforce by supporting professional practice, standards, and workforce development within the mental health services we provide. The position carries a focus on project coordination, data reporting, and delivering educational projects related to Psychological Professions across our Trust and the wider region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Chief Psychologist and senior psychological leads across multiple projects.
- Oversee scheduling and monitoring of critical project meetings and maintain tracking of corporate psychology initiatives.
- Manage email accounts, ensuring timely responses to correspondence and enquiries from service contacts.
- Coordinate workforce data collection and support related projects autonomously to ensure successful programme outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including local universities, NHS England, and education collaboratives to enhance training and workforce development.
Work Environment and Collaboration
This is a hybrid role necessitating planned presence at Trust sites while also accommodating remote work. You will be part of a vibrant, inclusive team serving a culturally diverse population with significant mental health needs, working to deliver excellent care and continuous professional development opportunities.

Additional Information
- This is a 22-month fixed-term appointment with full-time hours.
- The post-holder will have a high level of autonomy and be expected to initiate actions in line with the Chief Psychologist's priorities.
