Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for managing Treasury and Investment Operations tasks, especially those concerning validation, trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation duties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Examine Deal Tracker tools and act on trade-related communications per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Handle incoming trade-related emails from Treasury Front Office (TFO) or Counterparty (CP) promptly following SOP guidelines.
  • Cross-verify all deals recorded in the Treasury Trading system against Deal Tracker, trader communications, CP E-Platform tickets, and Bloomberg tickets; identify missing, duplicate, or unauthorized trades and report discrepancies to the senior validator while initiating corrective measures.
  • Prepare SWIFT messages for manual payments, confirmations, and free-format messages to be verified and released before cut-off times.
  • Confirm start and end of day trading conversation numbers daily.
  • Address FOBO breaks by making appropriate postings.
  • Manage collateral for designated products, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  • Process Bond and Repo trades following established procedures.
  • Review daily Kondor reports, highlighting any errors or anomalies to relevant parties.
  • Proactively identify and document areas for process improvement; propose action plans to senior validators or managers, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when required.
  • Respond promptly to all queries from incoming emails and maintain updated SOPs and checklists.
  • Conduct selective checks to ensure adherence to documented SOPs and checklists.
  • Provide timely responses to audit items, ensuring closure within agreed timelines.
  • Reconcile all suspense and General Ledger (GL) accounts within the FIS application regularly, ensuring accurate reconciliation of receivables and payables.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc requests from management or other bank departments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant practical experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of Investment Banking Operations.
  • Understanding of Treasury and Investment products including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Bonds, Repo agreements, and Derivatives.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate within teams.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred.

Work Schedule and Conditions

  • Position requires working on Fridays and public holidays.

Key Interactions

Internally, the role interacts with Treasury Front Office, Middle Office, Market Risk teams, Relationship Managers, Finance, and Operations departments.

Externally, the incumbent coordinates with Counterparty Banks and Corporate Customers.
