Job Overview
As an Associate Project Manager at Cloudforce, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth execution of cloud and AI projects. Your role will involve coordinating project activities, tracking progress, managing risks, and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders. This position offers a chance to gain valuable experience, take ownership of assignments, and grow into a future leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly reports on project status, metrics, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
- Coordinate resources, equipment, and information to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Maintain and organize internal and client project documents to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Break down projects into actionable tasks in collaboration with technical staff, defining clear timelines.
- Support clients in defining project scope, requirements, and objectives, keeping documentation updated as projects advance.
- Analyze potential risks and opportunities, communicating findings to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
- Monitor daily project progress and promptly flag issues for resolution.
- Track team resource hours and support preparation of burndown reports for relevant parties.
- Serve as a secondary client contact, assisting in maintaining strong relationships.
- Facilitate client meetings both virtually and onsite within the DC metropolitan area as needed.
- Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as ClickUp, Microsoft Project, and others to manage schedules, tasks, and dependencies.
- Maintain risk registers under Project Manager guidance and perform quality assurance checks to uphold standards.
- Lead smaller-scale projects independently as assigned.
- Undertake additional duties supporting the project team as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in project support, coordination, or managing smaller projects, preferably in client-facing or technical environments.
- Proven strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging clients, technical teams, and subcontractors professionally.
- Ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks with excellent organizational, multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated client service mindset and collaborative approach across diverse teams.
- Experience working as a liaison and facilitator in both virtual and onsite meeting settings.
- Familiarity with project management software tools such as ClickUp, Trello, Microsoft Project, Planner, Teams, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in collaborating with technical personnel and subject matter experts.
- Knowledge of project management principles and best practices; certifications like CAPM or PMP are advantageous.
- Exposure to risk tracking, reporting, or resource management within projects.
Compensation & Benefits
The role offers an annual base salary between $60,000 and $75,000, complemented with quarterly bonuses.
