About QNB

Originally founded in 1964 as Qatar’s premier Qatari-owned commercial bank, QNB Group has expanded to become the leading banking institution across the Middle East and Africa regions. Operating in more than 31 countries globally, QNB Group serves nearly 20 million customers through over 1,000 branches and 4,300 ATMs, employing more than 28,000 staff. It is highly rated by credit agencies such as Standard & Poor’s (A), Moody’s (Aa3), and Fitch (A+), and widely recognized for its financial performance and brand value in the MEA market.

Job Summary

The role involves executing trading orders for high net worth individual (HNI) clients—covering equities, fixed income, and other securities—strictly in accordance with QNB Financial Services (QNBFS) policies, exchange norms, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental budgets and meet operational targets by delivering premium trading services and accurate market information.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and acquire new HNI clients locally and regionally.
  • Implement key performance indicators and adopt best practices for effective HNI trading brokering.
  • Promote operational efficiency, control costs, and enhance productivity to maximize institutional benefits.
  • Execute buy and sell trades as instructed by HNI clients or authorized intermediaries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Provide clients with accurate market updates before and after trading sessions without offering investment advice.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships by sharing reliable market intelligence and addressing queries or complaints efficiently.
  • Perform manual trading on the Qatar Exchange platform in case of system outages, following requisite approvals.
  • Report trading errors and escalate client disputes appropriately within the management hierarchy.
  • Support customers with product-related queries and ensure adherence to agreed service level agreements, facilitating collaboration with internal departments.
  • Assist sales in marketing brokerage and advisory offerings across various markets, highlighting QNBFS’s value proposition.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, risk management, and internal policies, including information security standards such as ISO 27001.
  • Continuously upgrade brokerage knowledge covering local, regional, and international markets through training and professional development.
  • Comply rigorously with anti-money laundering, combating terrorism financing, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, and conflict of interest policies.
  • Contribute to operational risk management including risk assessments, key risk indicators, incident reporting, and remediation.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards to protect sensitive information and maintain QNB’s reputation.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or IT-related fields is required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as CISI Introduction to Securities and QFMA Rules and Regulations are essential.
  • Applicants must submit a resume, identification documents (passport or QID), educational certificates and birth certificate for verification.
