Job Overview
The Assistant Product Manager's role involves supporting the planning, execution, and management of product lifecycles within retail banking. This position requires close collaboration with both internal departments and external partners to align efforts with the bank's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, launching, and overseeing both new and current retail banking products.
- Perform gap analyses, identify business opportunities, and propose enhancements.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Credit, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and Business Intelligence to support product functions.
- Engage with external stakeholders relevant to product management activities.
- Contribute to the development of product lifecycle roadmaps for the designated products.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotions within the Retail Banking group.
- Analyze product performance metrics, uncover trends, and derive customer insights through direct sales interactions and surveys to aid strategic decisions.
- Facilitate training sessions and develop sales tools for frontline retail banking staff regarding new products and promotional launches.
- Help create marketing and sales materials to assist frontline staff in meeting financial targets.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management consistent with the role.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least three years of experience in related roles, with solid knowledge of retail banking products.
Essential Skills
- Advanced analytical capabilities, including market research and financial analysis.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance responsibilities as part of a team and independently.
- Strong relationship management competencies.
