Job description
Role Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and driving fit-out projects across various commercial segments within an airport setting, including retail, food & beverage outlets, lounges, duty-free shops, hotels, inflight kitchens, and passenger service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete lifecycle of fit-out projects, ensuring timely progress and quality delivery aligned with operational needs.
- Manage schedules, monitor milestones, anticipate risks, and verify readiness for seamless operations.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional internal departments such as Operations, Engineering, IT, Security, Finance, Procurement, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Facility Management to synchronize efforts.
- Interface effectively with external stakeholders including concessionaires, consultants, contractors, architects, and relevant government bodies to facilitate project advancement and compliance.
- Oversee technical reviews focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) requirements as well as utility infrastructure.
- Ensure all activities adhere strictly to regulatory mandates including BCAS, airport security protocols, fire and life safety standards, HSE norms, and other applicable guidelines.
- Drive operational readiness through managing inspections, securing necessary approvals, resolving snag issues, and managing commissioning processes.
- Support critical milestones such as airport inauguration, trial runs, commercial openings, and commencement of flight operations.
- Keep vigilant oversight on tenant and contractor performances, resource allocation, and adherence to project commitments and contract terms.
- Address bottlenecks promptly to maintain timeline and contractual compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reporting including progress summaries, visual dashboards, risk logs, formal management presentations, and readiness assessments.
- Maintain meticulous records including minutes of meetings (MOMs), approval documentation, escalation reports, and all project-related paperwork.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferable.
- Bring 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in sectors like airport projects, commercial fit-outs, retail, hospitality, infrastructure, or mixed-use development projects.
