Assistant Electrical Engineer

Role overview

The Assistant Electrical Engineer will contribute to the electrical engineering function by helping with design work, on-site supervision, and the delivery of electrical systems across the project. This position includes involvement in technical checks, site visits, and coordination with different disciplines so that project outputs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. It is well suited for recent graduates looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced project setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of electrical designs and drawings.
• Work alongside senior engineers in planning and carrying out project tasks.
• Visit site locations to verify that work matches technical requirements and safety rules.
• Track installation activities, testing work, and system commissioning.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and other engineering teams.
• Draft technical notes, project records, and status updates.
• Follow local regulations as well as relevant international standards.
• Help diagnose and resolve electrical issues that arise during project delivery.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Either a fresh graduate profile or up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical design principles and systems.
• Prior exposure to AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Preparedness to work on site in Makkah.
• Interest in learning, growing, and developing professional capabilities.

This role is based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time onsite position with HanmiGlobal MENA.
