Role Overview
As a Real Estate Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational, strategic, and investment decisions by engaging in in-depth financial analysis, market research, and property management coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial documents such as financial statements, rent rolls, and capital expenditure budgets.
- Conduct research and assess economic, demographic, and real estate market trends.
- Lead conference calls and on-site meetings with property management partners.
- Perform property inspections and market tours, which may require travel.
- Develop comprehensive financial analyses, including operating budgets, cash flow forecasts, and investment return metrics.
- Prepare detailed memos for presentation to senior leadership.
- Manage due diligence reviews and oversee the transaction closing process.
- Support arrangements and closing processes for debt financing.
- Present quarterly property performance updates to the firm-wide audience.
- Collaborate closely with multiple property management teams to execute and manage business plans effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance; preferred fields include Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or Property Management.
- 3 to 7 years relevant experience in real estate asset management, including internships.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data for strategic insights.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proven capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
