Area Manager - Ultra Fast Grocery Operations

Job Overview

Join a dynamic team pioneering new business models in ultra-fast grocery delivery across AMET. As an Operations leader, you will spearhead the launch and scaling of the Ultra Fast Groceries service. This role involves overseeing Fulfillment Operations and collaborating across various start-up activities to ensure smooth execution and sustained success post-launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and employee well-being.
• Monitor and analyze operational quality, productivity, and service level agreements (SLAs), implementing corrective actions to consistently meet business objectives.
• Lead and support a cross-functional operations team, managing administrative tasks and fostering a positive team environment.
• Evaluate performance data and suggest process enhancements to optimize operations and elevate customer service standards.
• Work alongside other managers to standardize shift processes across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing employees and driving performance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or at least 2 years of full-time employment experience within the company.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shifts during weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience with performance metrics, process improvements, or lean methodologies.

Additional Information

This role requires collaboration with multiple departments including finance, HR, real estate, projects, procurement and business teams, engaging with personnel at all levels. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with demonstrated project management capabilities and effective communication skills. After the launch phase, the role transitions to leading the fulfillment center and store operations across multiple locations with a direct team of Area Managers.
