About the Role
Join SAP as an Applied AI Developer and contribute to transformative software impacting over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce. Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end AI solutions, including prototype creation, validation, deployment, and evaluation using a diverse tech stack such as Python, TypeScript, Terraform, BTP, CAP, and others.
- Leverage and supervise Claude-style AI tools for code generation and ideation, critically assessing their output to ensure quality and correctness.
- Collaborate closely with product and platform teams to scale validated prototypes into production-ready modules.
- Engage in building domain-specific ontologies and AI agents, designing evaluation methodologies to assess their effectiveness objectively.
- Take full ownership of projects from problem definition through implementation and delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 and 6 years of hands-on experience working with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt engineering, and evaluation techniques.
- Competence in Python programming and a strong inclination to learn varied technologies and stacks, including SAP BTP, CAP, HANA Cloud, Joule, TypeScript, and Terraform.
- Exceptional learning agility to rapidly adapt to evolving AI models, frameworks, SAP technologies, ontologies, and industry-specific processes.
- Demonstrated ability to transition swiftly from ambiguous concepts to functioning prototypes, underscoring a bias for action.
- Strong critical thinking skills to ask pertinent questions that keep projects aligned with core objectives.
- Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership of AI-related development efforts.
