Role Overview

This Finance Operations role focuses on trade settlement support, reconciliation work, accounting postings, regulatory reporting, and related operational controls within a securities or financial services environment.

Key Duties

• Manage trade payments, receipts, and set-off reconciliations, including the posting of SAP accounting entries.
• Monitor transactions for AML compliance.
• Upload investment positions into the investment system each day and reconcile invested holdings against broker positions.
• Carry out reconciliations for foreign brokers.
• Prepare Form 15.
• Review interface reports linked to SAP accounting entries.
• Perform reconciliation of foreign trust accounts with brokers.
• Reconcile miscellaneous journal entries.
• Prepare trade reports for regulators and internal management.
• Validate TT payment instructions.
• Support additional ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• A good degree in Accountancy, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Comfortable using systems and PC-based applications.
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain accuracy.
• Capable of performing effectively under tight deadlines.
• Experience in the securities sector or a financial institution is an advantage.
