Job Overview
This leadership position requires a non-traditional approach to project management to ensure that varied organizational operational strategies are effectively executed by relevant stakeholders. Cross-functional coordination is essential to maximize the implementation impact across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate intimately with research and development teams along with R&D project management to guarantee the successful delivery of high-priority projects.
- Work alongside commercial, finance, and supply chain departments to maintain a comprehensive and dynamic outlook on organizational priorities, aligning R&D initiatives accordingly.
- Oversee management dashboards for the entire R&D operations encompassing API R&D, Formulation R&D, Biopharma R&D, and Clinical Development across all regions.
- Coordinate with supply chain, production, quality, and regulatory teams to minimize penalties, stockouts, and losses due to expired inventory by continuously monitoring supply scenarios and cross-functional task execution.
- Assess open capital expenditure requests and new infrastructure projects, ensuring detailed analysis including justification, ROI, and demand forecasting, collaborating with user groups and cross-functional teams for management reviews.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects, engage with project leads on current status, challenges, solutions, and oversee post-execution phases such as qualification, regulatory audits, and readiness for production pipeline utilization.
- Drive accelerated progress on strategic projects directly overseen by the Managing Director’s office, ensuring no delays.
Additional Job Duties
- Maintain up-to-date management dashboards and organize detailed documentation including meeting minutes, strategy briefs, and consolidated reports for the management office.
- Evaluate success by active engagement in projects, expediting priority initiatives, resolving interdepartmental issues, and promptly escalating urgent matters to senior leadership.
- Display agility and self-motivation to adapt to varied assigned programs and initiatives.
Core Competencies
- 10 to 15 years of experience in corporate strategy with a focus on varied business operations.
- Expertise in MS Excel with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and modern visual dashboard technologies is advantageous.
- Project management experience is preferred.
Relevant Industry Experience
- A minimum of five years working within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Prior experience collaborating with senior management.
- At least five years in a corporate strategy role.
Educational Background
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Biological Sciences, or a PhD in related fields.
- Possession of a management degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
