Agile Scrum Master

Role overview

Join Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems organization in Moorestown, New Jersey, where the team applies collaboration and creativity to solve complex defense and technology challenges. This full-time Scrum Master role supports the Scalable, Supportable, Software-Defined, S-Band Radar (S4R) effort and is centered on helping Radar product teams, programs, and functional leaders deliver successful Agile planning and execution.

What you will do

• Guide Agile software or systems development activities, including planning sessions, scrum events, sprint demos, and retrospectives.
• Monitor Jira stories and feature progress throughout each 10-week cycle.
• Run internal reviews covering team capacity, stories, features, and risks for every cycle.
• Maintain accurate Jira records, gather Agile metrics, and prepare reports for product, staffing, and management reviews.
• Serve as an Agile advocate while supporting digital transformation and process improvements for S4R.
• Keep track of upcoming milestones and the way they affect team plans and schedules.
• Follow risks tied to the teams’ Agile plans and help manage them proactively.
• Work regularly with team leadership, program leadership, and peer Scrum Masters to support progress through Jira-based metrics.
• Create and maintain the calendar for product Agile and cycle-planning activities.
• Help onboard new team members smoothly into the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• At least 2 years of Scrum Master experience in a STEM environment.
• Background supporting Agile software development or systems development work.
• Hands-on experience with the Atlassian toolset.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to obtain and keep a DoD Secret clearance.
• Certified Scrum Master credential.
• Experience as a Scrum Master in a radar-focused environment is preferred.
• Experience contributing to large-scale product development initiatives is preferred.
• Understanding of systems, software, and test engineering processes is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile productivity metrics is preferred.
