About the Role
The Administrative Assistant will organize and lead various engaging activities designed for seniors that enhance social interaction and cognitive stimulation. These activities include group exercises, arts and crafts, music sessions, and other interactive programs tailored to meet diverse interests and abilities. The role involves creating a warm, inclusive environment that encourages wellbeing and collaboration with care staff to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute stimulating social, recreational, and educational activities for senior participants.
- Lead group workouts, craft projects, musical gatherings, and other interactive sessions.
- Adapt programs to cater to different ability levels and personal interests of participants.
- Promote a supportive atmosphere that nurtures social engagement and mental health.
- Work closely with the caregiving team to maintain participant safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven background in coordinating and performing activities for elderly individuals.
- Strong creativity and dedication to fostering social and mental engagement among seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience and empathy when assisting seniors with various needs.
- Flexibility to modify activities aligned with participant abilities and preferences.
Additional Information
The work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The office is located in Swansea, Massachusetts with on-call care support available after regular business hours.
