Role Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst based in Pune, Maharashtra, working full-time on the US shift (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM). The ideal candidate will manage the complete accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are correctly entered into the general ledger with precise coding—for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, or other expense accounts. Attention to detail and the ability to analyze accounts payable transactions and communicate discrepancies clearly to the Accounting Manager and leadership are critical.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately enter invoices daily with correct GL coding.
• Prepare and maintain the weekly payment list.
• Generate payment files and prioritize critical vendor payments with recommendations to the Accounting Manager.
• Implement and uphold fraud prevention protocols by validating invoice authenticity.
• Initiate vendor payments through ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and vendor portals.
• Ensure timely closure of accounts payable items each month in accordance with established SLAs.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, and taxes on invoices.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to manage accounts payable activities and priorities.
• Support additional projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in managing accounts payable functions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work alongside various business partners throughout the organization.
• Self-driven with a high level of independence and ownership.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounting software such as Intacct or similar platforms is highly preferred.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• A Master’s degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
