About Minor Hotels and the Role

As part of this expanding international group, you will join a dedicated team focusing on outstanding guest experiences and career development.
Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort within the Hunter Valley is recruiting an experienced Account Sales Director to lead growth initiatives in the corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) sectors. The position plays a critical role in expanding the business, forming strategic client partnerships, and enhancing revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement sales strategies aimed at boosting corporate and MICE revenues for the resort.
- Actively seek new business through prospecting, network building, participating in industry events, and targeted sales efforts.
- Create and nurture strong partnerships with corporate clients, event planners, and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Manage existing client accounts to encourage repeat business and foster long-term relations.
- Arrange and conduct client meetings, resort site tours, and familiarization visits showcasing accommodation, conference spaces, golf, and leisure amenities.
- Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate agreements, and confirm group bookings and events.
- Cooperate with internal operational teams (Events, Front Office, Reservations, Revenue) to ensure excellence in guest service.
- Keep abreast of market conditions, monitor competitors, and identify revenue opportunities.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date CRM data, sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline activities.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in hospitality sales, especially within corporate and MICE markets.
- Proven record in winning new clients and effectively managing client portfolios.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of the hotel, conferences, and events market.
- Skilled in developing and executing strategic sales plans.
- Strong organisational skills, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience handling sales pipelines and CRM tools.
- A motivated self-starter who also excels within a team environment.
