Role Summary
The Account Manager will join the Advertiser Success Team focused on CPG advertisers, managing and growing e-commerce campaigns by delivering insightful reporting and optimization advice. This individual will work closely with sales to nurture trusted client partnerships and drive performance through Instacart's advertising products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales colleagues to establish strong relationships with CPG advertisers.
- Serve as the primary contact for all pre-sale and post-sale client needs, including media planning, campaign optimization, and reporting.
- Develop media plans aligned with client goals and articulate ad product offerings.
- Deliver weekly performance reports with actionable recommendations to meet KPIs.
- Lead regular client calls sharing campaign and category insights through data storytelling.
- Present tailored business and category trends to advertisers.
- Initiate opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to enhance client value.
- Act as an advocate for partners during pilot projects and internal feedback forums.
- Produce comprehensive campaign wrap-up reports with follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews, leveraging an analytical approach.
- Maintain deep expertise in Instacart's full-funnel advertising offerings and strategy.
- Engage actively in planning and quota management across multiple business units.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree is required; preferred fields include business, advertising, commerce, or digital marketing.
- At least 3 years of experience in a related account management or advertising role.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Drive suite, Salesforce, and Tableau; knowledge of Mode is advantageous.
- Understanding of paid search, display advertising, ad serving, CPG, or e-commerce domains.
- Ability to work autonomously, handle multiple tasks, and proactively engage in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for external-facing discussions with advertisers and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail combined with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to analyze data effectively and craft compelling, client-facing narratives.
Compensation and Benefits
Instacart offers competitive pay and benefits tailored to the employee's location with a flexible remote working policy. Compensation includes a base salary and an individual sales incentive plan based on performance, with total on-target earnings varying by location.
Estimated salary ranges by state are:
- Washington: $86,000–$91,000 USD
- Oregon, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Hawaii: $82,000–$87,500 USD
- California, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey: $90,000–$95,000 USD
- Other states: $74,000–$79,000 USD
On-target earnings (OTE) range from $99,500 to $126,500 USD. This role may also include equity grants upon hiring and annually thereafter.
