Overview
WTW | Willis is recruiting a full-time Account Executive to become part of our Corporate Broking team based in Christchurch. This role supports the Client Director and Account Manager in delivering excellent client service, nurturing and expanding a corporate client portfolio. The ideal candidate will exhibit a committed, team-oriented attitude, possess strong interpersonal communication skills, be well-organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Client Director / Account Manager to manage clients’ insurance broking and risk management programs, ensuring superior service delivery focused on client retention and growth.
- Accurately prepare client and insurer documentation, maintaining a high standard of quality before distribution.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with insurers, clients, and other essential stakeholders, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Keep precise and up-to-date client data within WTW’s internal systems and databases.
- Analyze renewal proposals in comparison to previous years and advise the Client Director / Account Manager on significant changes.
- Partner effectively with other business units to support overall organizational success.
- Coordinate with the offshore Operations Support team to ensure prompt and accurate document delivery.
- Assist the Client Director / Account Manager with claims management by responding to client inquiries, guiding claims processes, interacting with loss adjusters and assessors, and ensuring timely claims resolution according to service standards.
- Ensure all activities and paperwork comply with company service standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated strong administrative and client support skills in a fast-paced insurance broking environment.
- Possession of a New Zealand Level 5 Insurance Qualification (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain this certification within an agreed time frame with financial support from Willis (conditions apply).
- Previous experience in insurance broking is highly desirable; candidates from a broader financial services background are also welcome.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact professionally on individual and small group levels.
- Competent in writing reports and business correspondence.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload effectively in a demanding setting.
- Collaborative team member known for integrity, credibility, and trustworthiness.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and comfortable using internet/intranet systems.
- Eager to learn, grow skills, and take on new responsibilities as needed.
