Yard and Customer Service Associate

Position Overview

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited is seeking a proactive and safety-conscious Yard and Customer Service Associate to efficiently support branch operations in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading trucks, forklift operation, and delivering exceptional service to customers, ensuring smooth daily workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately load and unload delivery trucks.
• Operate forklifts to transfer, store, and load or unload products within the yard.
• Maintain yard cleanliness, organization, and sufficient stock levels.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with inventory management including stocktakes, cycle counts, and stock adjustments.
• Provide product guidance and assist customers with their orders and inquiries.
• Verify incoming goods against shipping documentation.
• Report any workplace hazards, near miss incidents, or safety concerns.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of branch appearance and housekeeping.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s license with F endorsement.
• Experience using forklifts or a willingness to undergo forklift training.
• A strong focus and commitment to health and safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills coupled with a proactive, positive attitude.
• High attention to detail in task performance.
• Physical capability to lift and handle products weighing up to 20 kilograms.
• Dependable team member who demonstrates ownership and accountability.
