Role Overview

ACCIONA is recruiting a seasoned Wastewater Operations Advisor/Drainage Advisor for a distinguished long-term infrastructure endeavor located in Doha, Qatar. This pivotal consultancy role calls for a senior expert possessing deep knowledge in wastewater and drainage operations, asset and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive technical, strategic, and operational guidance related to drainage and wastewater systems.
• Assist in the formulation and execution of strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency, asset dependability, and service quality.
• Provide insights into operations & maintenance (O&M), asset and contract management, and infrastructure project delivery for drainage and wastewater.
• Critically assess operational workflows and propose enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and boost overall business results.
• Contribute to business transformation efforts and foster ongoing improvement in operational processes.
• Guarantee adherence to regulatory mandates, occupational health and safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and industry-leading practices.
• Offer expertise on governance, risk management, and compliance pertinent to drainage operations.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, to secure effective project and operational achievements.
• Analyze operational and maintenance metrics, identify potential risks, and suggest mitigation approaches.
• Support long-term infrastructure planning, advocate sustainability, and manage asset lifecycle strategies.
• Assist in formulating policies, procedures, and operational standards aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Degree acquired from accredited institutions in North America, Western Europe, or Australia.
• A robust professional background comprising at least 30 years of engineering experience.
• Minimum 10 years specifically within the wastewater or drainage sectors.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations & maintenance (O&M) settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in drainage and wastewater operations, asset management, O&M, project management, contract administration, and infrastructure performance enhancement.
• Sound comprehension of Health & Safety legislation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control frameworks.
• Experience collaborating within large multidisciplinary organizations or utility and infrastructure industries.
• Prior exposure to Middle Eastern or GCC projects is highly advantageous.
• Possession of Chartered Engineer status and/or Institute of Asset Management (IAM) accreditation is a significant plus.
