Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee the day-to-day warehouse functions such as receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and appropriate storage of all merchandise, while monitoring order preparation to adhere to dispatch timelines.

Inventory Management, Stock Aging & Valuation

Perform regular inventory cycle counts and reconciliations to identify discrepancies between physical stock and system records. Maintain accurate inventory data within the warehouse system, assist with annual stock audits, and prepare detailed stock aging and valuation reports. Highlight and manage damaged, obsolete, expired, or unsaleable inventory in coordination with management and the Finance department to support accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold calculations.

Warehouse Layout & Space Optimization

Design and optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage efficiency, ensuring safe and accessible storage arrangements based on product characteristics and handling needs. Streamline inventory organization to reduce picking times and enhance workflow.

Staff Supervision & Productivity

Lead warehouse staff by assigning daily tasks and priorities, overseeing productivity, attendance, and operational workflows. Train employees on inventory procedures, equipment usage, safety standards, and maintain discipline and performance metrics within the team.

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct routine safety inspections, enforce proper equipment usage, and uphold cleanliness and organization standards to maintain a safe working environment. Report hazards or equipment issues promptly.

Order Fulfilment & Dispatch Coordination

Guarantee accurate and timely order preparation and dispatch. Collaborate with logistics and delivery teams to align schedules. Verify orders and documentation before shipment and proactively address any fulfillment delays or shortages, escalating concerns when necessary.

Loss Prevention & Control

Monitor inventory movements vigilantly to prevent loss or theft. Investigate and document incidents involving damaged, missing, expired, or lost stock. Implement effective controls to minimize inventory loss and ensure proper handling of damaged or rejected goods.

Reporting & Coordination

Generate comprehensive reports on warehouse performance including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, damages, and operational challenges. Provide regular updates on stock aging, condition, and valuation in liaison with Finance. Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure availability, shipment tracking, and smooth order dispatch. Propose operational improvements based on performance data.
