About the Role

Join a renowned New Zealand building products company as a Warehouse Supervisor in a brand-new, modern facility located in Tauriko, Tauranga. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of approximately 11 staff, including a second-in-command and warehouse operators. Your core duties include managing dispatch processes, resource allocation, ensuring inventory accuracy, fostering a safe working environment, and consistently meeting service targets. This afternoon shift role runs Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the distribution team to meet operational goals and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Champion safety culture by ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and assist with routine stocktakes.
  • Guarantee accurate and quality dispatch of products.
  • Engage directly with warehouse staff in job planning, coaching, and training activities.
  • Implement continuous improvements in safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Measures of Success

  • Consistent strong performance in safety and proactive hazard management.
  • High accuracy levels in inventory management.
  • Achieving customer delivery targets including In Full, On Time, In Spec (IFOTIS).

  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Resilient and proactive leadership approach with a focus on team development.
  • Experience with mechanical handling equipment and knowledge of hazardous goods protocols is an advantage.
