Overview

As a Visual Merchandiser at H&M in Red Deer, Alberta, you play a key role in shaping a compelling and consistent customer experience by applying visual and commercial standards. Your duties include implementing visual and styling presentations according to brand guidelines, advising and training store colleagues, and leveraging your knowledge of trends and competitors to enhance store performance.

Daily Responsibilities

• Support the overall customer experience through visual and commercial merchandising that aligns with company guidelines.
• Engage positively with customers as a representative of H&M’s brand values.
• Plan and organize daily tasks aligned with store activation plans and adapt as necessary with store management and visual teams.
• Ensure timely execution of global campaigns and promotional activities following brand standards.
• Monitor garment care and stock levels, advising store and area management.
• Analyze sales reports and identify visual and commercial opportunities collaboratively.
• Design effective actions to improve customer satisfaction and meet sales and budget goals with store management.
• Adhere to operating procedures, OMNI service best practices, legal requirements, and interdepartmental communication protocols.
• Stay informed on current fashion trends, competitors, and influencers to support styling and product presentation strategies.
• Share and educate store teams on seasonal updates, trends, visuals, and commercial information to maintain high standards.
• Coach and develop the store team’s visual and commercial skills, supporting onboarding and talent growth.
• Execute visual and commercial styling using commercial calendars, mood boards, and guidelines to tell trend stories across the store.
• Maintain window displays and merchandising elements to ensure inspiration and optimal customer flow.
• Manage commercial layouts, fixtures, price signage, lighting, and display materials collaboratively with management and facilities teams, focusing on sustainability and store navigation.
• Keep sales floors and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and secure following safety policies.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary ranging between $43,867 and $49,351.
