Role overview
Autmax is looking for a full-time, remote Vice President of Operations in the United States to lead company-wide operational execution. The role focuses on keeping daily operations running effectively, building scalable processes, tracking performance metrics, and continuously improving how teams work together.
This leader will own budget management and profit-and-loss outcomes, working closely with finance and senior leadership to improve cost efficiency and strengthen profitability. The position also partners with customer-facing teams to uphold service quality, address escalated concerns, and roll out improvements that enhance the customer experience.
In addition, the role will spearhead strategic and cross-functional initiatives, coordinate resources, and ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard. A strong emphasis is placed on accountability, decisions backed by data, and inclusive leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational performance across the business and make sure execution stays aligned with company objectives.
- Create, improve, and standardize workflows and operating processes.
- Track key performance indicators and use them to guide operational decisions and improvements.
- Own budgets and P&L results in partnership with finance and executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost structure, efficiency, and overall profitability.
- Work with customer-facing teams to maintain strong service levels and resolve escalated issues.
- Lead strategic and cross-functional projects from planning through delivery.
- Coordinate people, timelines, and resources to achieve high-quality outcomes on schedule.
- Promote a culture of accountability, data-led decision-making, and inclusive leadership.
- Support and mentor diverse teams, including those working remotely or in hybrid setups.
Qualifications
- Deep background in operations management, including process design, workflow improvement, and oversight of multi-site or distributed operations.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, P&L ownership, and financial analysis to support growth and profitability.
- Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated success in improving customer satisfaction and handling difficult service issues.
- Ability to create long-term operational plans, set priorities, and align teams around strategic goals.
- Proven project management ability, including cross-functional coordination, schedule management, and delivery ownership.
- Inclusive leadership experience, especially in managing and developing varied teams in remote or hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Comfort using analytics and KPI reporting to spot trends, support decisions, and communicate performance to executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA or similar advanced degree is advantageous.
- Experience in technology, SaaS, or other fast-growing environments is considered an added advantage.
