Position Summary
The Vice President of Operations will play a crucial role as the operational cornerstone of the executive leadership team. Working closely with the CEO, this person will turn strategic vision into actionable plans by establishing scalable systems, driving operational excellence, enhancing customer experiences, and ensuring seamless project progression from contract signing to completion. Ideal candidates are entrepreneurs at heart, highly accountable, process-focused, and passionately dedicated to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate as an essential member of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Translate strategic plans into operational initiatives and execute accordingly.
- Develop and implement scalable operational systems and infrastructure.
- Support annual business planning and growth strategy formulation.
- Oversee and optimize operations across residential, commercial, and agricultural solar divisions.
- Manage installation scheduling, project management, customer experience, vendor relationships, quality assurance, warranty programs, and process development.
- Create systems including CRM workflows, project lifecycle management, installation scheduling, KPI tracking, team accountability, dashboards, customer communication, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and mentor teams comprising project managers, customer success staff, installation partners, administrative personnel, and vendors.
- Promote a corporate culture focused on accountability, speed, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and ownership.
- Monitor critical operational metrics such as installation cycle times, customer satisfaction scores (NPS), project profitability, warranty resolutions, vendor performances, and revenue forecasting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in leadership roles with proven operational team management.
- Strong skills in organization, communication, project management, and financial acumen.
- High emotional intelligence with a capacity to independently solve problems within fast-paced startup environments.
- Data-driven approach to decision making.
Preferred Experience
- Background in solar energy, construction, energy sectors, home services, manufacturing, logistics, project management, or operations consulting.
- MBA or equivalent executive leadership experience is advantageous.
