Role Summary
The Vice President Finance, based full-time onsite in Doha, Qatar, leads and supervises all financial functions at SAAD AL KAABI STEEL AND ALUMINIUM CO. W.L.L. This executive position entails directing comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring punctual and precise financial reporting. The role involves establishing and overseeing internal controls, contributing to strategic financial decisions through analysis, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Key daily functions include collaboration with executive leadership on long-term financial strategies, assessing investment prospects, managing relationships with banks, auditors, and stakeholders, and optimizing the company’s capital structure and funding mechanisms. Additional responsibilities encompass leading and mentoring the finance team, enhancing financial systems and procedures, and driving cost control and profitability across operations and projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong proficiency in financial management functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Expertise in financial statements preparation, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced analytical abilities to interpret financial data and support business performance reviews and decision-making at the executive level.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with experience in guiding finance personnel and collaborating with senior management.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines is required; professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
- Experience within manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, or industrial sectors, specifically in the Middle East region, with familiarity with Qatar’s regulatory and tax environment is advantageous.
- Competency with ERP systems and financial software, alongside strong communication skills and the capability to work efficiently in a dynamic, growth-driven setting.
