Role Overview
The Vehicle Integration Technician works as part of the Integration team, handling both mechanical and avionics components on the Electron launch vehicle, including installing wiring harnesses, mechanical parts, and high voltage batteries. The role requires flexibility as tasks are not strictly divided by specialization. This position operates on the evening shift from Monday to Thursday (15:00–01:30), offering three-day weekends every week and an evening shift allowance. Relocation support is available if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install mechanical and avionic assemblies on the Electron launch vehicle.
- Work with high voltage battery systems and wiring harnesses.
- Use hand tools and equipment to build and test launch vehicles and components.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet production and launch deadlines.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and workmanship standards, especially for oxygen service components.
Required Qualifications
- Trade certification in a relevant industry.
- At least two years of relevant experience in precision mechanical or avionic assembly.
- Ability to work with high standards of cleanliness and detailed workmanship inspections.
- Skilled in manufacturing components to high-quality standards.

- Good knowledge of industry Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) policies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of working effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Able to read and interpret manufacturing instructions and drawings.
- High work ethic with willingness to take on extra responsibility and work extended hours if necessary.
- Initiative-taking and able to remain composed under pressure.
- Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and tablets.
