Role Overview

The Travel Specialist will focus on designing and selling tailored, upscale travel itineraries to both travel agents and direct clients, ensuring memorable and high-quality travel experiences while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, craft, and present intricate luxury travel plans, maintain follow-up, and secure bookings.
• Manage client relationships throughout the inquiry and booking stages, ensuring ongoing personalized support and being a continual point of contact during the travel experience.
• Provide outstanding service to both trade partners and consumers, handling problem-solving and complaint resolution effectively.
• Engage with clients and trade associates through virtual or face-to-face meetings, including in-store consultations when necessary.
• Address and resolve any client issues or complaints promptly.
• Contribute to business development endeavors aimed at increasing sales.
• Represent the company at trade shows and agent-hosted events, sometimes outside regular hours.
• Assist other departments with various tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience selling most of A&K's destination offerings is preferred, with a strong background in luxury travel advantageous.
• Minimum three years of experience in reservations or travel consulting.
• Demonstrated Free Independent Travel (FIT) expertise is mandatory.
• Dedicated to delivering exemplary customer service in fast-paced, high-touch environments.
• Proficient in booking international air travel.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at using various booking and CRM software platforms.
• Knowledgeable in Global Distribution Systems, particularly Amadeus.
• Strong passion for outstanding customer experiences and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adaptable with a willingness to embrace challenges and change.
• Proficient in sales techniques including qualification, rapport building, and closing deals.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Must hold Australian work authorization.

Additional Information

• Occasional travel interstate and internationally for familiarization trips may be required.
• Some after-hours commitments, including training sessions, product launches, and industry events attendance, are expected.
