Role Overview

We are upgrading our systems and transforming operations, building enhanced transport planning capabilities. We seek Transport Schedulers based in Wingfield, SA, to play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and delivering transport services regionally. The role involves scheduling transport activities at least one day ahead to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise transport schedules, routes, and fleet assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and strong service delivery.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders and customer service teams to ensure schedules meet Chain of Responsibility compliance and practical requirements.
  • Analyze operational data and planning metrics to identify trends and opportunities for performance enhancements.
  • Provide operational support through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving solutions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a natural planner with experience in transport scheduling, logistics coordination, or similar fields such as waste management, FMCG, or supply chain. You should be able to convert complex data insights into actionable business solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with transport scheduling, route design, or logistics coordination.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fleet operations, vehicle capabilities, driver scheduling, and transport compliance.
  • Familiarity with transport management or route optimisation software (e.g., AMCS or equivalent).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Effective communication and ability to build trustful relationships across multiple departments.
  • Excellent organisational abilities with attention to detail and managing competing demands.
  • A proactive mindset, adaptable, with a customer-first approach.
