About the Role and Organization
This opportunity is within the traffic engineering industry, based at Ubi, Singapore. The position is permanent with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in conducting studies focused on road design projects and development of Traffic Layout Plans (TLP) and Traffic Control Plans (TCP).
- Draft Setting Out Plans (SET), Cross Longitudinal Section (CLS) drawings, and prepare accurate TCP and Temporary Layout Plans adhering to relevant design codes for official approval.
- Contribute to initiatives involving Project Safety Reviews (PSR), traffic management strategies, and Transport Impact Assessments (TIA), including the compilation of comprehensive technical reports.
- Offer expert traffic-related consultancy to developers, consultants, and other involved agencies.
- Employ design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AutoTurn effectively.
- Support company projects or activities in various locations where the business operates, requiring occasional travel.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or Traffic/Transportation Engineering is required.
- Preferably possesses 2 to 3 years of practical experience in traffic or transport-related fields.
- Competency in drafting SET, CLS drawings, and TCP/TLP conforming to applicable standards is necessary.
- Experience or understanding of PSR, traffic management, and TIA processes along with report preparation is advantageous.
- Proficiency in software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AutoTurn is essential; familiarity with SIDRA software is a plus.
- Certification from a recognised Road Safety Reviewer course will be beneficial.
