Role Overview

We seek a dedicated Technical Co-Founder based in Nigeria for a full-time, on-site position. This individual will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from designing the system’s architecture to developing essential features and ensuring the reliability of a production-ready environment. Your responsibilities will include defining and upholding technical standards, choosing appropriate development tools and frameworks, and guaranteeing the quality, security, and scalability of the codebase.

Collaboration with product and business teams is crucial to transform customer insights into tangible technical solutions. The role demands experimenting with artificial intelligence models and rapidly iterating the product by integrating user feedback. Additionally, as a co-founder, you will be involved in funding discussions, influencing strategic company decisions, and fostering the growth of an engineering team through mentorship.

Candidate Profile

• Strong analytical and investigative skills to shape technical approaches, analyze data robustly, and substantiate product ideas.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with co-founders and stakeholders, and to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Awareness of sales and marketing concepts to assist with product positioning, technical presentations, and aligning technology with market demands.
• Comprehensive software engineering experience, with proven ability in system architecture design and deployment of live applications, preferably involving AI, machine learning, or data-intensive solutions.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, with substantial familiarity in cloud services and continuous integration/deployment methods.
• Adaptability and a strong sense of ownership, comfortable working in a startup environment that requires balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
• Background in developing or contributing to nascent products, coupled with a genuine interest in co-founder roles that include equity considerations and sustained dedication.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field is advantageous; however, equivalent practical experience is also considered.
