Role Summary

The Team Leader will oversee personnel safety, transportation safety, and Work Management System (WMS) activities by creating and maintaining procedures, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring effective communication aligned with the organization's HSE standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and ensure adherence to the HSE Management System and relevant legal requirements through development and review of management procedures and guidelines.
  • Create and maintain procedures for personnel safety, transportation safety, and WMS consistent with company policies.

  • Apply performance management systems within the team to meet annual objectives and monitor progress against key performance indicators.
  • Review and recommend organizational structure adaptations to optimize resource utilization while embedding sustainability in work practices.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Promote innovation, motivate employees, and support change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements based on best practices and ISO standards to develop effective solutions for team challenges.

Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability

  • Champion a strong HSE culture ensuring compliance with relevant policies, systems, legislation, and sustainability principles based on international best practices.
  • Ensure proper HSE training and onboarding for all team members, meeting required standards.

Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver management information systems (MIS) and progress reports to provide accurate and timely business insights to company leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Personnel Safety, Environment, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in personnel safety, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Deep understanding of best practices in personnel safety and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations with ability to provide independent guidance.
  • Familiarity with fitness to work standards, industrial hygiene, and public health requirements.
  • Strong leadership, resource management including financial and human resources, prioritization, and performance evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities with clients and team members.
  • Good knowledge of industrial processes, equipment, and materials within the oil and gas sector.
