About Centre for Information Resilience (CIR)

Role Overview

This role is part of a talent pool for upcoming opportunities. While there is no immediate vacancy, joining means you will be among the first considered for future openings. The contract is planned from August 2026 through March 2027, contingent on funding approval. This position is full-time and based in London, requiring UK residency and availability to work on-site at least three days weekly depending on project needs.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with the Project Director and Manager to assist in administrative and operational management, ensuring deadlines are met, efficiency improved, and compliance with donor requirements maintained.
  • Assist in developing project plans, deliverables, and refining management and quality control processes.
  • Monitor project progress, promptly identify and report obstacles.
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning by collecting data, managing surveys, and tracking output progress.
  • Oversee the group calendar and arrange team meetings and movements.
  • Support financial oversight including preparing spending reports and budget projections.
  • Help assess project risks and devise mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Manage onboarding including reference checks, contract and grant administration, policy adherence, and distribution of materials.
  • Administer grants to external organizations through scheduling progress meetings, tracking deliverables, drafting grant agreements, reviewing budgets, expense reports, invoices, and narrative submissions.
  • Maintain collaborative and culturally sensitive relationships with external partners and foster teamwork within the project group.
  • Manage online storage and communication tools for the project.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as tracking timesheets, expenses, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Act as liaison during team trips and manage vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Organize workshops, conferences, skill-sharing sessions, and capacity-building events for NGO partners and participants.

Candidate Requirements

  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Experience in project coordination and grant management, particularly within UK government-funded projects.
  • Background in human rights, development, peacebuilding, humanitarian work, charity, or related fields, either voluntary or professional.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage workshops and events.
