About the role

Global Retail Brands Australia is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the growth of its national retail business. The organisation operates more than 300 stores across Australia and is known for specialty homewares and home lifestyle brands.

Working within a high-performing People & Culture team and reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will partner with another Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage hiring across Retail Operations and the Support Office. The role goes beyond vacancy filling and includes shaping talent strategy, supporting workforce planning, strengthening employer branding, and delivering a strong candidate journey.

This is a hands-on recruitment position suited to someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, relationship building, and finding strong talent for a growing retail organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for Retail Operations and Support Office roles.
  • Work with business leaders to design effective sourcing and attraction approaches.
  • Create and maintain talent pipelines while ensuring a positive experience for candidates.
  • Coordinate screening, interviews, assessment centres, and other selection activities.
  • Assist with workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
  • Administer recruitment systems, advertising channels, and talent-related resources.
  • Monitor and manage recruitment expenditure across SEEK, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
  • Prepare recruitment data, insights, and reporting to support business decisions.

What we're looking for

  • At least 4 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Experience with high-volume hiring or in-house retail recruitment is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability in sourcing, assessing, and interviewing candidates.
  • Practical experience using applicant tracking systems and proactive sourcing methods.
  • Understanding of social recruiting, talent mapping, and candidate engagement tactics.
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment law and recruitment best practice.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic workplace.

Why join us

This role offers the chance to contribute to the future workforce of a growing national retailer while working in a collaborative and experienced People & Culture team.

  • Join a fun, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
  • Gain recruitment exposure across multiple brands, functions, and international teams.
  • Help influence talent strategy and support business growth.
  • Work from a modern Support Office on St Kilda Road, close to public transport, cafés, and amenities.
  • Be part of a workplace that values innovation, continuous improvement, and a people-first mindset.
