Overview

We seek a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full recruitment cycles for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles at our Long Prairie, MN facility. This role collaborates closely with plant leadership to anticipate hiring demands and implement both short and long-term recruitment strategies that align with organizational objectives and core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and operational leaders to identify hiring requirements and formulate recruiting plans that foster company growth and cultural fit.
  • Manage all facets of recruitment including proactive candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, pre-employment evaluations, and onboarding procedures.
  • Continuously enhance recruitment workflows to boost effectiveness and candidate experience.
  • Organize and participate in onsite and offsite job fairs and leverage social media, educational institutions, and community outlets for talent acquisition.
  • Work with VP of HR to devise national search and branding strategies that enhance employer reputation and candidate engagement.
  • Monitor hiring progress rigorously, use data-driven insights for ongoing process improvements to consistently meet recruitment targets.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment reports tracking staffing, interviews, and rehires; establish key performance metrics to measure success.
  • Ensure an outstanding candidate journey from initial contact through onboarding and orientation.
  • Coordinate new hire benefits such as housing and lodging in partnership with HR.
  • Build relationships with outside agencies, educational organizations, and employment services to identify and attract talent.
  • Maintain a detailed 90-day recruitment plan approved by senior leadership outlining recruitment events, targets, campaigns, and KPIs.
  • Utilize the iCIMS applicant tracking system for comprehensive job posting and candidate management.
  • Stay informed on evolving recruitment trends and incorporate innovative practices to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in full-cycle recruitment specifically for hourly manufacturing employees.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Haitian-Creole are advantageous.
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting especially within beef, protein, or food manufacturing sectors.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
  • Familiarity with iCIMS ATS system.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability for recruitment results.

  • Professional demeanor, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective negotiation skills and mature judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
  • Capacity to work flexible hours, travel to multiple locations and recruitment events, including overnight stays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage various stakeholders including management, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to multitask and adapt in a dynamic team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The anticipated base salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 annually, subject to factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
