Job description

Role Overview

Join RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, where flexibility and reliability form the backbone of our service. You will deliver adaptable roadside support within the Esher cluster, helping members get back on the road promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diverse roadside assistance tasks including diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Work an average of 40 hours per week with schedules released seven days ahead and core hours confirmed three days prior.
  • Operate shifts between 06:00 and 02:00 that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Manage your own RAC van, keeping it stocked with tools, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by acting as an RAC ambassador and maintaining calm and professionalism in all situations.

Location

Based in Esher, covering nearby areas including Kingston upon Thames, Surbiton, Epsom, Ewell, Tolworth, Chessington, Worcester Park, Sutton, Croydon, Mitcham, and Wimbledon. You will start and finish your workdays locally from home.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance with at least two years of experience, or
  • Have five or more years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
  • Hold a full UK driving license with fewer than six penalty points.
