Role Overview
The Student Counsellor position is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. This role involves engaging prospective students and their families to evaluate their academic profiles, interests, and career objectives to offer personalized recommendations regarding destinations, institutions, and courses most aligned with their aspirations. Key daily functions include conducting one-on-one counseling, clarifying admission criteria, aiding with application paperwork, and liaising with partner educational bodies as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct counseling sessions to understand and guide students toward suitable educational options.
- Explain admission requirements clearly and assist students in completing application documents.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and maintain detailed, accurate records of student interactions and progression.
- Follow up on prospective leads ensuring a professional and encouraging experience for all students.
- Collaborate with the team to arrange information sessions, workshops, and outreach programs to enhance awareness about VIDYA.PORTAL’s offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Student and Career Counseling to effectively guide academic and overseas study decisions.
- Excellent communication abilities to conduct clear, empathetic consultations.
- Strong customer service skills for managing inquiries and building relationships with students and their families.
- Familiarity with the education sector, specifically admission protocols and study abroad pathways.
- Experience in educational consultancy or study abroad agencies is advantageous.
- Competence in office software and a capacity to function well within a collaborative, dynamic environment.
- A bachelor’s degree complemented by ethical conduct and cultural awareness.
