Role Overview

As a Storeperson/Trade Assistant at our Wingfield Service Centre in Adelaide, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth daily inventory operations. Your tasks include timely receipt, storage, selection, and dispatch of stock while supporting workshop and maintenance activities. Maintaining a safe and organized workplace, enforcing environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, and promoting high standards in stock and logistics management are central to your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety, fully embracing zero harm principles to foster a world-class safety culture.
  • Manage inventory processes such as picking, packing, dispatching, stock control, cycle counts, and SAP transaction handling to maintain precise inventory records.
  • Assist workshop and maintenance teams by coordinating logistics, managing export orders, and facilitating efficient daily operations.
  • Ensure the workspace remains safe, tidy, and well-organized through rigorous housekeeping and compliance with EHS standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, applying Lean manufacturing techniques, 5S methodologies, and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to boost operational performance, aid in staff training, manage consumables, and uphold excellent service quality.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse operations involving SAP systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail along with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Dedication to uphold high standards of safety, quality, and workplace cleanliness.
  • Flexibility and reliability, including willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
  • Desirable qualifications include forklift licence, knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling, and experience within manufacturing or mining industry environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement frameworks to support operational excellence.
