Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled registered nurse for Ward 2 at St Andrews Community Hospital, a 16-bed unit including 4 specialist palliative care beds. This role focuses on caring for older adults with emphasis on rehabilitation, recovery, and adaptation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care tailored to older adults.
- Engage in complex discharge planning to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
- Contribute actively to creating a strong health and safety culture by identifying and reducing risks in patient care.
- Effectively manage complex and challenging situations in a clinical environment.
- Utilize strong interpersonal, IT, and communication skills at various levels within the team and with patients.
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification with a passion for older adult care and rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering person-centred care and handling complex discharge processes.
- Excellent communication, IT, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage complex situations with professionalism and skill.
- Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is mandatory prior to appointment.
- Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom as per UK Visa and Immigration guidelines is essential.
