Specialist - Innovation (Emirati Talent)

Job Overview

This role involves driving the execution of ENOC's Innovation strategy and supporting business transformation via innovation initiatives. You will be responsible for coordinating idea submissions and implementations, managing the innovation platform, and monitoring key performance indicators related to innovation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Innovation Manager in deploying the Innovation Strategy and managing the Ideas Management Program.
• Enhance innovation capabilities by organizing engagement sessions, workshops, communication campaigns, and related activities.
• Motivate employee participation in idea generation through promotional events and awareness sessions.
• Monitor and analyze innovation KPIs at both group and business unit levels, providing regular reports.
• Oversee the Innovate idea management system, ensuring proper screening, evaluation, and timely follow-up of ideas.
• Work to continuously reduce cycle times for idea evaluation and implementation by monitoring progress and taking corrective actions.
• Maintain and update content on the innovation management platform, including announcements, calendars, guides, and galleries.
• Prepare management reports demonstrating benefits realized from implemented ideas.
• Coordinate events, marketing materials, giveaways, and media communications in collaboration with Group Communications.
• Facilitate innovation-related payments and rewards processes.
• Support change management efforts by promoting awareness and understanding of innovation concepts, managing resistance through communication and workshops.
• Contribute to benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in external innovation forums and award programs such as Idea Arabia and Idea UK.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience managing diverse innovation initiatives.
• Solid experience administering suggestion systems and understanding of related business environments and etiquettes.

Technical Proficiencies

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Visio is advantageous.
• Basic business acumen to classify and manage ideas effectively.

Interpersonal Competencies

• Effective communication abilities with influence and change management capabilities.
• Excellent coordination skills to track idea progress through various stages.
• Strong organizational and time management aptitude to handle multiple suggestions and meet KPIs.
• Customer service orientation ensuring support to idea contributors and enhancing satisfaction.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English for preparing communications and analyzing ideas.
