About the Role

The Specialist - Events position at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha, Qatar, is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This position involves direct interaction with clients and operational support to ensure flawless event execution in an upscale hospitality environment renowned for luxury and personalized service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet with event coordinators or group hosts prior to events, introduce yourself, and confirm all arrangements meet client expectations.
• Carefully review banquet orders to extract guest information and determine the appropriate seating layouts, scheduling, guest needs, buffet and station setups.
• Consider and implement any special banquet arrangements and ensure close supervision of preparations to meet guidelines.
• Strictly adhere to company safety protocols, report any maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and maintain required safety training and certifications.
• Uphold professional appearance standards and maintain confidentiality around privileged information.
• Support colleagues with respect and dignity, contribute to the achievement of team objectives, and maintain quality assurance standards.
• Physically handle tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling items up to 25 pounds, and maneuver within tight or elevated spaces.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform visual inspections of tools and equipment; reach above head and below knees; navigate uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Greet guests warmly according to company standards and communicate clearly and professionally, including proper telephone etiquette.
• Perform any additional job-related duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a related environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific certifications or permits mandatory.
