Job Overview
We are seeking a Solar Energy Specialist based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to drive sales and business development in the solar power sector. The role involves identifying prospects across commercial, industrial, and residential segments and spearheading partnerships to expand market reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential solar customers in commercial, industrial, or residential sectors and establishing strategic channel partnerships.
- Manage the entire sales process from generating leads, conducting site visits, negotiating contracts, to closing deals successfully.
- Lead and mentor the sales team by setting performance targets, monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting their growth.
- Work closely with engineering and estimation teams to prepare tailored photovoltaic (PV) or battery energy storage system (BESS) proposals and bid documents.
- Continuously gather market intelligence by tracking competitors' strategies, pricing, and local renewable energy regulations to adapt sales tactics.

Compensation
The salary range offered is between 25000 and 40000 INR per month.
