Skilled Helper

Job Overview

The Skilled Helper will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by assisting with machine preparation, production tasks, and ensuring quality standards. This position requires coordination with various departments and attention to detail to help achieve production targets efficiently.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials and other essential inputs on the assigned machine prior to production.
• Verify availability and placement of raw materials according to job instructions before starting the machine.
• Assist in setting up the machine based on process control criteria and job specifications.
• Load and manage raw materials continuously during production shifts.
• Prepare pallets and packing materials as required to facilitate smooth packaging processes.
• Carry out packing, unloading, palletizing, weighing, and transferring of finished product rolls.
• Monitor machine operations and product quality consistently throughout the production cycle.
• Gather necessary paperwork, components, and tools from other departments to support production activities.
• Dispose of waste generated during production in compliance with guidelines.
• Provide assistance to team leader, lead operator, and machine operator as needed.
• Complete labeling for rolls and pallets accurately.
• Report any quality issues promptly to quality control and supervisory staff.
• Support the operator in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure production goals are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work area and machinery following 5S standards and schedules.
