Job Overview
Reporting to the Undersheriff, the Finance Administrator within the Sheriff’s Office manages centralized financial operations supporting multiple divisions including Patrol, Dispatch, Detention, Records, Co-Response, and Court Security. This role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, managing billing and budget activities, handling detention-related funds and transactions, as well as managing grants, contracts, procurement, and capital expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent establishes and enforces standardized financial procedures and record-keeping to enhance accuracy, accountability, internal controls, and operational efficiency throughout Sheriff’s Office departments. Collaboration is essential, working closely with Sheriff’s personnel, County Finance, auditors, vendors, grant agencies, and detention collaborators. Confidentiality of sensitive financial information must be rigorously maintained.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly wage between $26.93 and $33.67 depending on qualifications.
